• Eurasia (include Ural Mountains)
• jords
• North European plain
• tundra
• North Atlantic Drift
• polders
Point out examples of these physical features on the map of Europe.
- Distribute unlabeled outline maps of Europe and atlases containing climate information. Instruct students to color-code the different climate regions of Europe. Instruct students to write down the lines of latitudes that run through Europe and North America. Direct students to then write a brief paragraph, using available resources, to explain the effects of the North Atlantic Drift and prevailing westerlies on Europe’s climates.
- Assign a teacher-selected reading, worksheet, or other reinforcement activity, using available teacher resources.
