Foreign Language and International Education

Through foreign language studies, students learn not only language, but also about:

  • Culture
  • History
  • Geography
  • Political systems
  • And much more

Language gives us a glimpse into what the users of that language value now or have valued in the past:

  • Musical terms from Italian
  • Culinary terms from French
  • Medical and legal terminology from Latin.

Through these links and many others, foreign languages connect to different subject areas.
